Debbie Wexler is a Senior Risk Management Consultant for MAG Mutual Insurance Company. Her responsibilities include providing risk management interventions, educational programs, and direct consultation to assist physicians, medical office managers, advanced healthcare practitioners and healthcare risk managers with specific loss/claims prevention strategies. Before joining MAG Mutual in 2010, she was a Senior Risk Manager at Emory Healthcare in Atlanta. She provided risk management support and coordination throughout the system which included acute care and specialty hospitals and outpatient clinics, employed physicians and graduate medical education. Debbie has over 20 years of healthcare risk management and hospital supervisory experience including resolution of patient complaints, claims management, staff education and performance improvement.

Debbie holds the Associate in Risk Management designation and is licensed as a registered nurse in Georgia. She earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from Brandeis University, a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Cornell University and a Master’s in Public Administration from Georgia State University.
