Bill Bristow is a Senior Management Consultant and has been part of the DoctorsManagement team for over twenty years. He was associated with healthcare information systems and processing for 20 years prior to joining DoctorsManagement. Bill owned and managed the largest healthcare billing company in the East Tennessee area during the days when integration of technology into medical and dental practices was fledgling at best. He also worked with IBM as a Marketing Representative and Systems Engineer in their Data Processing Division.

Bill is a veteran in the healthcare industry and his background enables him to bring a unique perspective to the DoctorsManagement consulting team. With the wealth of information he has acquired during his tenure in the business of healthcare, he can identify a certain essence among otherwise confusing trends. Bill brings a voice of reason to the process of creating effective business management solutions among today’s turbulent healthcare environment.

Bill earned a Bachelor of Accounting degree from Carson Newman College and then spent time in the United States Marine Corps. He has spoken at the American Academy of Dermatology annual meeting. He conducted a training session in the Business of Medicine for the medical students at Florida State Medical School and East Tennessee Medical School. Bill has conducted workshops at the first Athena Health Users conference and has also spoken to several local and area chapters of the Medical Group Management Association (MGMA). He has been on the faculty of the DoctorsManagement University since the inception of the School of Certified Medical Practice Manager (CMPM®).

Bill enjoys spending time with his wife, Gail, their two children and six active grandchildren.
