The DMU self-paced CMPM program is challenging, yet convenient, allowing you to prepare in the convenience of your home or office and at your own pace. Here is how to get started:

When you register to begin your studies and pay the tuition fee of $845 online you automatically receive your first year DMU Membership at no additional charge (a $99 value). DMU Members receive a unique membership ID number, which makes you eligible for discounts on most future DoctorsManagement continuing education materials, courses and webinars, and some services. Retain this number as it may be required in future transactions with DMU. |

| Complete the self-paced CMPM Exam Study Hall on-line on the DMU website. This comprehensive training consists of 20+ video presentations and you can work at your own pace. Spend a few minutes here and there, or sit down and complete the whole course...the choice is yours! The content is specifically designed to cover the topics you need to know to successfully pass the CMPM Exam. Each presentation has PowerPoint handouts that show the PowerPoint presentation slides along with space for notes. The handouts, along with your notes, can be used as an excellent resource to help you pass the Exam. Both the CMPM Study Hall videos and PowerPoint handouts are available at a secured site. Click the "Login" button at the top right-hand corner of most any DMU webpage. You will need your email address and unique password (provided at registration) to access the site. |

When you are satisfied with your review of all or any portion of the the self-paced materials in the CMPM Exam Study Hall, you are eligible to begin the CMPM Certification Exam. Simply go to the DMU Bookstore (Shopping Cart) to register and pay the one-time $195 CMPM Examination Fee (Participants wishing to only view the CMPM videos, and not desiring CMPM Certification, do not pay this examination fee). Don’t forget to use your DMU Member ID to receive a 10% discount. You will receive an e-mail showing your Exam fee has been successfully processed. You now have access to the Exam.
Upon passing the Exam, you will be on record with DMU as a Certified Medical Practice Manager (CMPM). The Exam is 94 multiple choice questions. A 80% accuracy rate is required to pass the Exam (75.2 correctly answered questions out of the 94 questions to be answered). The Exam, including any 2nd or 3rd attempts (three attempts maximum), must be completed within 180 days from the time of the first attempt. You will have 2 hours to complete your exam. You will receive your Exam results immediately upon its submission. No waiting for days to know! When a passing score is attained, a CMPM Certificate with a gold embossed CMPM medallion along with a press release of your achievement will be mailed to you. You are encouraged to submit the press release to your local newspaper. Good luck!

To maintain the CMPM certification your DMU Membership must remain active and a total of 40 continuing education contact hours must be attained every two years. A CEU Tracker is available for your convenience to log your contact hours. |
